Most job boards are just databases with a search bar. You post a role, you get applications, you sort through them. On the other side, candidates fire off dozens of applications and wait — usually in silence. Nobody has enough information. Everyone wastes time.
The Dream Work is built around a different assumption: that a good match is knowable before anyone speaks to anyone. If a company needs five years of Go and a candidate has two, that gap is real and it matters. If the salary range doesn't overlap, the conversation isn't going to go anywhere. These things can be measured.
So that's what we do. We score candidates against roles across five dimensions — technology fit, salary alignment, experience, work preference, region — and surface the result as a number. Not a vague "great match!" badge. A score with a breakdown, so you can see exactly where you fit and where you don't.
For candidates, this means knowing before you apply. You see your score. You see the gaps. You decide if it's worth pursuing. You're not a name in a pile. A low score isn't a signal to walk away — it's information. Maybe the salary aligns perfectly even if the tech stack doesn't. Maybe you're deliberately making a move into a new area and the gap is the point. The score is there to help you make an informed decision, not to make it for you.
For companies, this means the applicants you see are already ranked. Not by a recruiter's intuition or keyword filters, but by a calculation applied consistently to everyone. The signal-to-noise problem doesn't go away entirely, but it gets smaller.
We're not trying to replace the hiring process. Interviews matter. Culture matters. There's a lot that can't be reduced to a score. But the first filter — are these two parties even compatible on paper — is something a machine can do faster and more honestly than a pile of CVs.
The platform is early. The matching algorithm will improve. The number of roles will grow. But the core idea won't change: hiring works better when both sides have better information from the start.
